OUR PACKAGING

Our Christmas coffee launch coincides with the move back to fully kurbside, recyclable, paper packaging. All online orders will be shipped in our plastic free bags, you can check out the reasons why we made the change here.

ROASTING ON RENEWABLE ENERGY

We’ve recently switched to a new electric Typhoon roaster which allows us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint. We selected it for its capacity, efficiency, and to maintain the same high-quality roasting. This transition also marks a step toward our long-term goal of becoming carbon neutral, with a commitment to using 100% renewable electricity. Though the installation required a significant investment in new power infrastructure, the move reinforces our dedication to sustainability and strengthens our promise to customers that we deliver on our environmental commitments.

Big Booty Xmas

Every year we look forward to the return of our Big Booty Coffee, with the range showcasing the best of the best - not just in terms of taste, but for their sustainability and community impact.

This is the second year we have had this beautiful lot from Bette Buna, and we were lucky enough to visit the group in November. Seeing all the work that Hester and Dawit do within the community first hand makes us excited to continue building this relationship in the years to come.

Bette Buna

As with all of our Ethiopian coffees this lot comes from the Bette Buna project, run by husband and wife duo Dawit and Hester, whose primary goal in everything they do is their community. Bette Buna works with local chiefs, community leaders, and smallholder farmers to grow and source its exceptional coffees.

At farms in Taferi Kela Sidamo and Guji Megadu, the team grows seedlings, rewilds coffee forests, and trains farmers in sustainable methods. Founded to honor the legacy of Dawit’s grandparents, Bette Buna carries forward their vision of a house built on coffee, a business rooted in kindness, diversity, and community.

Ethiopian season is always highly anticipated in the roastery, after a long wait the team are excited for the return of the familiar profiles of stone fruits, florals and their delicate structure.

All our Ethiopian coffees are sourced from Bette Buna, a force for community empowerment among local coffee producers.
