ABOUT US

Our Vision

Honesty and social responsibility before profit.

We roast single-origin coffee from our barn in Cornwall.

Guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and a spring in your step.

At the heart of Yallah is a small crew, with a big passion for exceptional coffee. Our values are strong, our approach lighthearted. The work that we do promotes social, economic and environmental prosperity, while minimising the impact of our company. We lead the way through our direct approach to environmental action, and commitment to honest trade.

Proudly served at our Café and Kiosk in St Ives, and our second location in Penryn. We partner with like-minded businesses in the South-West and beyond that share our love of great coffee.

Direct Climate Action

Sustainability

We are continually working to become a more sustainable business. From our Buying Standards to our operational practices, we see transparency as the best method to make our business beneficial for people and the planet.

So far, we think we’re on the right track: we import coffee by sail, use plastic-free packaging and have eliminated all single-use cups from our cafés. Our roastery is powered by renewable energy and we’re composting over 50% of our food & coffee waste on site.

Better business

Coffee Sourcing

We believe that coffee and business can be a force for positive change. We have created our Coffee Buying Standards as a framework to make this possible.

Proud advocates for fairer trade within the coffee industry, we work with trusted partners in our supply chain to guarantee honesty and traceability.

Our Community

Social Impact

We aim is to use our passion, facilities and expertise in coffee to inspire young people and teach them a valuable skill set. We hope that this will lead to employment, independence and social mobility.

We’re proud to parter with Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC) to do this. An organisation dedicated to supporting and strengthening Cornwall’s Communities to improve quality of life. They work with young adults with learning disabilities to prepare them for the workplace. We are a training partner for the course and provide a place of work for students who want to trial work having completed their barista training.
