Primavera, Guatemala

Primavera is a Guatemalan born green coffee exporter and importer, which simply put, means greater transparency and traceability across the supply chain, from the farm to us. With a dedicated team based in Guatemala City and agronomists within the coffee growing communities they are best placed to truly know and understand not just where to find the best coffees and producers but also to identify challenges and build support. Guatemala is home to some of the most rural and hard-off coffee growing regions in the world, which historically would mean a lack of support, but Primavera is changing that. 

Like us at Yallah, Primavera believe wholeheartedly in social, economic and environmental sustainability for coffee producers, and only through this will coffee have a bright future. Primavera’s agronomists work with producers to implement regenerative practices and better farm management, not only for farm health but also to increase yield and quality, all leading to increased income for the producers in their supply chain. 

We’ve been working with Primavera for four years now, in the past 12 months we have purchased 9700 kg of coffee across nine different lots. Two of these lots come from the Tinamit Toliman co-operative in Atitlan, who in 2024 were the recipients of our 1% FTP commitment, supported by Primavera and The Chain Collaborative, to build a pisciculture farm for the benefit of the members of the co-operative and the wider community.
