There is a Japanese proverb that states "If you want to catch a fish, plant a tree,"

No Trees No Seas is a feature-length documentary revealing the hidden connections between trees and seas, and how bringing back our woodlands could be one of the most powerful things we can do to restore nature, both on land and at sea.

Presented by surfer and environmentalist Sam Bleakley, and made by Lightbox Film Co, the film is part of the No Trees No Seas campaign. Driven by Plant One CIC, the campaign aims to create 500 hectares of ‘fish forests’ across Cornwall – species-rich, biodiverse woodlands that will feed and protect our oceans for generations to come.

The project is supported by outdoor clothing brand Finisterre, Verdant Brewing Co, and ecological research from experts at The Woodland Trust and the University of Portsmouth.
