We’re so proud to be a supporter of amazing local businesses, and try where possible to stock and supply products from Cornwall based brands. A business we have been working with for a few years now is From Trees, based in the beautiful Scorrier House, Redruth. We have Lou's teas in our cornwall cafes and now stock for wholesale customers.

A Bit About From Trees

They source true tea from forest communities who grow and harvest in traditional ways within rich biodiverse environments. Keeping trees standing and providing long term income from the forest.

Inspired by this we source teas from other tree species, exploring exceptional flavours, connecting us to native species and using tea processing methods to create unique flavours.

Tea in its purest, most simple form is the ritual of pouring water over tree leaves - from the small tree Camellia sinensis. From this, an incredible tea culture has developed over thousands of years and the art of processing the leaves is diverse and amazing.

All with the aim of promoting forest grown tea; incentivising regenerative forestry and agroforestry systems.

Tea has been commodified and bagged for convenience; what we now drink is a powdery, dusty substitute, missing out on the true wonder of tea. They select teas which benefit collective health; for people and forest. Tea that honours ancient ritual and is grown to promote future ecologies.
