Overnight Cold Brew

INFO

You'll need the following equipment for this brew guide:

- Coffee grinder (or pre-ground coarse coffee)
- Scales (for accurate measurements)
- Large jar or container (about 1–1.5 litres, with a lid)
- Sieve or strainer (fine-mesh preferred)
- Cheesecloth or muslin cloth (optional, for first straining)
- Paper coffee filters (for a cleaner second strain)
- Airtight jar (for storing the finished cold brew)

Steps

  1. Measure 100g (about 1 cup) of coffee and grind coarsely (like cafetiere). Add the grounds to a large container and slowly pour in 1 litre (4 cups) of cold, filtered water.
  2. Stir gently for 1–2 minutes until all the coffee grounds are fully soaked.
  3. Cover the container and place it in the fridge for 12–18 hours to brew.
  4. Pour the mixture through a sieve or cheesecloth into another container to remove most of the grounds.
  5. Strain the liquid again through a paper coffee filter or cloth for a smoother, cleaner result (optional)
  6. Pour into an airtight jar or bottle and keep it in the fridge. It will stay fresh for 5–7 days. Enjoy!

Tip: This makes a strong concentrate. Dilute with water or milk (about 1:1 ratio) when serving, or adjust to taste. We love ours with a slice of orange!
