Salary Band 2: £24,000 - £26,000 DOE

Job Type: Full time, 34 hours per week - Monday to Thursday

The Role
We are on the lookout for someone to join our roastery team as a production assistant. This role plays a key part in supporting our production and roastery team, responsibilities include general production assistance, packing, dispatch & order processing. You will report to the Production manager and work closely with our Head of Coffee.

This role will be predominantly based at the roastery, although you may be expected to work at local events. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, great at working as part of a small dynamic team, with good communication skills. Experience working with specialty coffee or a genuine interest in the industry is highly valued but not essential.

Responsibilities

Production

• Grinding and packing of roasted coffee with care and accuracy.
• Assisting with general production; packing orders, labelling bags, and preparing weekly orders for wholesale and retail customers. 
• Dispatch & logistics for wholesale and web, processing invoices with diligence ensuring orders are ready for collection. 
• Responding to customer requests in the absence of other production team members.
• Maintaining a clean workspace.
  
  

Other

• Work with the production team on the weekly roastery cleaning schedule.
• Assist the roastery team with any ad hoc requests for QC product samples
• Support the team in preparing for events or external visits
  
  

Training

We will provide you with onsite/professional training in order to develop into the role of production roaster and move you into the next salary band. We’re a small team but we always look to train and upskill wherever possible.
