This luscious coffee is exactly the sort of profile you’d expect from Nicaragua’s premium growing region; Nueva Segovia. It’s a place we know well and that is dear to our hearts. If you like silky coffee with bucket loads of chocolate and hazelnut then this is the one for you!

For the past few years, we’ve been sourcing coffee from this region for our ‘trust range’. This year we selected a small community lot, featuring one of our favourite producers, José Gonzalez. There are 9 producers who have contributed here, each receiving 34% above the market price for their coffee. They’re also part of a growers education program called PECA. The mission is to continuously educate  producers on best practices that will allow them to increase productivity, improve quality, and ensure continued profitability and sustainability. 

We know the farms in this area have a high percentage of shade-grown coffee, whilst the soil, altitude and flora mean biodiversity here is incredible - sometimes, you can hardly tell you’re on a coffee farm. It’s easy to see why we keep on coming back!

Our Packaging & what to do with it...

Our 250g bags are 100% plastic-free and can be recycled with your household paper or composted in your garden. We recommend storing your coffee in an airtight container like this one, not in the fridge.

Our 1kg bags are home compostable but not domestically recyclable, please don't put them in your curbside recycling.
