This is the first time we’ve ever introduced a coffee from East Timor - and hopefully not the last. This outstanding Southeast Asian coffee is sweet and delicate, with a full flavoursome body and bright citrusy notes. It’s also certified organic. Wonderful.

Producers: Hunda Farmers Community
Origin: East Timor
Variety: Typica, Timor Hybrid
Process: Washed
Tasting notes: Lemongrass, orange, and brown sugar

Right next door to Indonesia, East Timor has laid low in specialty coffee - but it’s looking like this is just the start of things to come. This coffee comes from the Hunda farming community which was established in 2009 and 18 farmers contributed to this special lot.
Each village works with basic methods, often using pulping machines, basic drying beds and sometimes tarpaulin on the ground to dry the coffees. Even with such simple
infrastructure the quality of coffee produced in the cup defies all expectations - scoring 85 plus. It’s an incredible brew to be sipping.
