Tashi’s first choice! Picked for its complexity and sweetness, it stood out even when tasted on a table of fantastic coffees. Tashi chose this primarily for our Kiosk in St Ives but we’re keeping some aside for enjoying at home because it’s that delicious!

Gitesi is a private washing station owned and run by a father and son team, Alexis and Aime Gahizi. Aime is the star of the show at the station, with the energy and drive to push production to the next level, whilst prioritizing wellbeing and fairness in his business.

The station receives coffee from nearly 2,000 farmers, who all receive a 2nd payment depending on what it’s sold for. Thus giving the farmer a good incentive to increase the quality on the farm. Gitesi has a project to distribute pumps and cows to farmers, giving them both organic fertilizer and access to fresh milk. The poorest farmers are targeted for this project, as malnutrition is a real threat in the region.
