We recommend storing your coffee in an airtight container like this one. Our 1kg bags are home compostable but not domestically recyclable, please don't put them in your curbside recycling. The birthplace of the coffee plant; Ethiopian coffees often come with a delicate and floral profile. These coffees are almost always grown under the natural canopy of virgin forests and we look forward to their return each year.

There are thousands of native species there which are hard to identify individually, hence the term ‘heirloom’. They are characterised by a delicate and floral flavour profile, and this coffee is a perfect example of that.

Tizita Bizuneh

Bulessa washing station is run by Tizita Bizuneh and employs 15 women full time, and provides many more seasonal jobs for up to 100 workers during harvest season.
The washing station is where local female producers can bring their cherries to be hulled and dried, ready for export. Since its beginning, Bulessa has evolved and grown to be
able to provide agricultural and and educational workshops for the community.
Impact

Female Producer

In many coffee growing countries, the concept of women owning coffee farms is still uncommon and in some places, prohibited by government laws. Yet women contribute a staggering amount of the labour involved in producing coffee, from picking the cherries to hand sorting and processes. Supporting female producers and co-ops is crucial to eliminating the gender gap in coffee.
