You will find other varietals at Boa Vista but this lot is produced selecting only from the area of the farm dedicated to growing the varietal called Catuai.  This a classic pulped natural showing strong sweetness and warming tones strong notes of roasted hazelnut, milk chocolate and a creamy mouthfeel.

We ventured to a few new coffee growing regions within Minas Gerais last year. We were lucky to meet Mr Adenisio de Araujo near the town of Juruaia and taste this super little lot that he produces. Red and Yellow fruiting Catuai is picked and de-pulped at the farm on the day picking before being fully sun dried, aided by cool wind at an altitude of 1250m.

After working on post harvesting on another nearby coffee farm Adenisio jumped at the opportunity to buy this tiny farm of his own around 20 years ago. He’s always sold his coffee to a larger co-operative so it’s a real privilege for us to to have his coffee separated and see the quality premium go directly to them.
