High-grade Indonesian coffee is our 'not so guilty' pleasure. Good ones like this don't come around too often so when they do we're happy to shout about them. What's not to like? Full-bodied and rich, dominating espresso that cuts through milk and still tastes like specialty coffee should. It's epic.

This is a coffee of the cultivar Sigarar Utang from Frinsa Estate. It’s located in West Java (locally called Sunda) and this is the first time we've bought coffee from this diverse Island. It’s a farm at about 110 hectares at 1300 - 1600 masl. They have a wet mill located at 1400 masl altitude, as well as a well-ventilated storage space and a dry mill. This means they are in full control of their product from harvest to grading, sorting, and shipment. Frinsa Estate has 6 main growing plots spread out in the area, which they use to separate the different cultivars. It's exciting to see such a well run farm in Java as it's not common practice. Fingers crossed for good years to come.
